Bitcoin mining for Linux
Although it's very simple... It does the job and can be dropped in startup scripts to auto-start the miner on boot.Code:
#!/bin/bash deaths=0 while true do if ps cax | grep cgminer > /dev/null then echo "running" sleep 10 else let "deaths += 1" echo "stopped" echo "$deaths" gnome-terminal -x cgminer sleep 1 fi done
cgminer is just an example... bfgminer would work as well... minimal requirements. One main thing that will cause it to fail is if you name the script cgminerforever.sh or bfgminermonitor.sh
You can't throw the miner name at the beginning of the script name or the script itself gives a false positive for the miner program...

I already mine bit coins. But i think it would be amazing to take advantage of this computer I just have sitting around. Now that I don't play video games anymore. So I was wondering if any of you fellow miners could tell me how to mine using a ps3?
Install Linux on it and then use your Bitcoin miner. I don't know much about Bitcoins.

Okay I've been reading in to Bitcoin lately, decided to start using them yesterday. I have been mining them from the browser, which uses CPU, which is slower than a client and especially slower than a client mining from G … miner. It doesn't matter if it's a CLI or GUI, as long as it works and runs on Linux.
In the meantime I can make small change mining on multiple computers from the browser. ;)
Thanks in advance.
This is the CPU miner I would recommend you should note that unless you have free electricity, cpu mining will always be had at a net loss for you.
Nothing you can do if your graphics card doesn't support the opencl.
