Aubrey McIntosh has taken up mining in his spare time, and he’s finding it hard and hot — even if it’s prospecting for a virtual currency and a computer is doing all of the work.
Mr. McIntosh, a semiretired chemistry professor in Morris, Minn., is among the growing ranks of enthusiasts who use powerful computers to “mine, ” in insider parlance, “bitcoins, ” an unregulated digital currency.
Mr. McIntosh keeps his specialized computer, which he said cost about $1, 500 and is custom-built to find bitcoins, near the chimney flue in his basement to try to get rid of all the heat it generates.
“It sounds like an aircraft carrier, ” he said. Since turning the computer on his electricity bill has about doubled.

I am purchasing thousands of computers with super fast gpu cards, I am going to buy an island to store my computers. I am going to mine bitcoins on every computer, I am also going to overclock my gpu's. I will pay thousan …e higher the price the higher the difficulty. I am going to get a few millions from my businesses and investors. If the economy is the same by 2025 the price of a bitcoin would be around $10, so please estimate my profit.
First, figure out how many Gh/s your video cards will calculate and multiply that by the number of cards take that number and put in here: it's not the economy you have to worry about it's the scaling of computing power. … on ebay in the near future. see here: it's impossible to try to speculate the future prices of bitcoin, much less 12 years in the future.

I have $40 USD I want to spend on bitcoins but I'm not sure on how to get bitcoins but I have a general idea , the cheapest fastest direct bitcoin to wallet transaction would be my favored option.

With this setup what do you guys think?
Intel i5-3570k with an AMD Radeon HD 7850 or
AMD FX-8150 with an AMD Radeon HD 7950
The AMD is cheaper by £50
BTW the Intel PC will have a mobo that supports PCI E 3.0
The AMD is easily good enough for gaming and other thing. for gaming you don't need a ridiculously powerful CPU but you do need a good GPU that fact is the 7950 is better than the 7850 and the 7950 would be much more future proof. pci 2.0 and 3.0 has not allot of difference i have a 2.0 and a 3.0 motherboard and i get the same fps on both the motherboards on battlefield 3 on the 7850
